How we correct mistakes
- When a story contains a factual error, we correct it as soon as we have checked the facts.
- Significant corrections are noted at the end of the article, saying what was wrong and when it was fixed. We do not quietly change facts.
- Small fixes such as spelling or grammar are made without a note.
- If a story is fundamentally wrong, we may remove it and publish an explanation.

Right of reply
People and organisations we write about may ask to give their side of the story. Where it is relevant and fair, we add their response to the article.
